Exactly as advertised!!!

I needed a solid trail horse and was referred over to Lisa and Timmy by a friend. I ended up purchasing a 9 year old gelding in January. Living in the snow belt, there was no opportunity to try him out on the trails at home. Took him out trail riding in May after not riding him at all, he was everything they told me he would be (and MORE!). Fast forward to a year later and I’m beyond thankful for the opportunity to purchase him!!! 10/10 recommend. Super honest and they will help match you up with a partner!

I had a wonderful experience purchasing my newest horse, Scooby, and I truly can’t say enough good things about North Wind Farm. From the very beginning, Lisa was incredibly patient with me. I had a lot of questions throughout the process, and she always responded quickly and thoughtfully, never once making me feel like I was a bother.

What stood out the most was her honesty. With every horse I inquired about, she was upfront and transparent, which made it so much easier to trust the process. It was clear that she genuinely cared about finding the right match, not just making a sale. As an older, experienced rider who sometimes struggles with confidence, it was important for me to find a horse I could truly trust—and Lisa delivered exactly that.

Scooby has been everything I hoped for and more. I was looking for a well-rounded horse for trail riding, lower-level dressage, and liberty work, and he has exceeded my expectations in all areas. Since bringing him home, we’ve participated in dressage clinics and shows, liberty clinics, and working equitation clinics. We’ve also enjoyed trail rides around the property, and he has been a steady, reliable partner every step of the way.

This summer, we’re planning to venture off property for shows and trail rides, and I feel genuinely excited and confident about what’s ahead. That confidence is something I don’t take for granted, and it speaks volumes about the quality of the horse and the care that went into matching us.

Found my dream horse

Where to begin…. I found this pretty little dapple grey gelding on line, reached out and was so happy with EVERYTHING!! The communication and quick responses to my questions…Timmy and Lisa agreed to hold him for me, as I had to buy a plane ticket to go meet this beautiful gelding. Lisa and I took a little trail ride and I rode around in the indoor arena and through the obstacle course. He was exactly like he was in the video on line. EXACTLY. The shipper they recommended was amazing. This was an experience that…well, ya just know all this last minute planning is going to have a hiccup, right? Nope. The smoothest transaction ever. I have kept in touch with Lisa, sharing Oscar’s (now Orion) new adventures. Everyone who meets him falls in love and is amazed at how calm and well behaved he is, especially for av4 yr. old.
